Emerald Ash Borer Control

Emerald Ash Borer Control

grasshopperEmerald Ash Borer threatens 900 million Ash Trees in New York annually, and they are now infesting the trees in Buffalo and Rochester, NY.

The Emerald Ash Borer, native to Asia, has destroyed over 80 million trees in the US since 2002. The Emerald Ash Borer was found in the state of New York in 2009. In June of 2011, the Emerald Ash Borer was detected right here Buffalo!

The damage that the Emereald Ash Borer causes  to the ash trees in Buffalo and WNY, stems from the larvae. They feed in tunnels just below the ash tree’s bark. The tunnels disrupt the water and nutirent supply transport, causing branches, and eventually the entire tree to die.

The adult Emerald Ash Borer beetles will leave distinctive D-shaped holes in the out bark of the branches and trunk of the tree. Other signs of EAB infestation include:

  • Yellowing
  • Extensive Sprouting from the Roots and Trunk
  • Canopy Dieback
  • Woodpecker Damage

Seasonal Lawncare can protect your Ash Trees. Our treatment program utilizes an injection system internally to the tree, killing the Emerald Ash Borer; limiting exposure to the outside environment and controlling your Buffalo landscape and lawn. Emerald Ash Borer will kill Ash trees without treatment. Protect your investment NOW!!!

Seasonal Lawncare can help protect your Ash tree(s). However, trees are living organisms and each tree is unique in itself. Infections or invasions of any kind, to any degree can affect a tree differently. Because of these factors, trees may respond in various ways to treatment. Seasonal Lawncare will only guarantee that we will do our very best to protect your investment. This is a nonrefundable treatment. In the end some trees will die despite treatment. However, by not treating your Ash trees the risk is much greater that death will occur.
